Winter Mixed Doubles Handicap Winners

Monika Jacquinot and Michael O’Grady were worthy winners in the final of the Winter Mixed Doubles Tournament in an exciting match against runners up Anna Pigram and Andris McGee.
16 pairs challenged each other in round robin matches over November, December and January with the best eight pairs going through into a knockout over February and March.
Tournament organiser, Marcus Forgham said: “It was great to see so many players taking part, with the handicap system allowing players to meet and compete against new people of all levels and giving everyone a chance of success.”
The tournament was conceived to keep members playing competitive matches through the winter months when there are fewer Cambridgeshire League matches and is in its second year. It has proved very popular and is now a firm fixture in the Club’s calendar.
